Water Conservation in Urban and Suburban Areas

As you are aware, water plays an important role in successful agricultural production and the related issues. Utah State university Cooperative Extension and the associated Center for Water Efficient Landscaping are working to effectively educate homeowners and other suburban landscape managers. In addition to general programming on proper landscape maintenance, the main focus is a program called Landscape Irrigation Simplified (LIS), developed jointly by USU Cooperative Extension and the Bureau of Reclamation's Upper Colorado Division, to provide homeowners with a sound, scientific basis for their landscape irrigation practices, particularly those related to turfgrass.
