1Description
Perennial, 3-49”, , very drought tolerant, stems have whitish or yellowish fine hairs.

Range
There are several different species of Sphaeralcea that are spread through out the state of Utah.

Culture
Full sun, dry well drained, alkaline soils, open sites. Water to establish, in most cases this no supplemental watering will be required. Prune back if spindly for second bloom and renewed growth.

Value
Copious, prominent, light orange to red , star-shaped flowers. Green to silvery green leaves. Blooms June- September

Propagation
From seed, cold stratify 6 week, Gibberelic Acid treatment for better germination
